Spirit of the Abyss - Oil on canvas - The painting takes us to ocean depths with sunrays penetrating the surface and reaching far down in the water. A ship is anchored, only its bow bottom and the anchor chain visible underwater. Above a rocky reef partialy covered with corals from where bubbles are coming out, the Spirit of the Abyss is just begining to take shape. The shoulder and arm already formed. Its presence is positive and protective and it covers the right side of the painting almost from top to bottom.
